Our ride for the holiday on Monday, August 4th is cancelled. Many members will be away having fun elsewhere on the long weekend.

Yikes our last ride in July may be a wash. We haven't made the call yet so please check back before you leave your homes. We are still optimistic that we can squeeze in our ride....so stay tuned.

We are updating our captain list for next month. Please let Anne know if there are dates in August when you are not available to captain. 
It's also a good time to thank you for your contribution to TandemEyes. We appreciate every ride you make possible! Please remember that we are still on a rather steep learning curve so don't hesitate to contact us with suggestions or comments. We value your input! 

It's a beautiful day...cool temp.s and no rain in the forecast from 6-8! Teams are ready to roll. A few people are away on summer holidays, so our group will be smaller tonight. Jeet will be our leader. Have a great ride! 

It certainly is a beautiful day so far. The forecast is calling for showers around 4:00, followed by sun/cloud...so taking an optimistic view, the forecast for our ride looks good. Please check this site before you leave if you are uncertain of the ride status. The absence of a new post means the ride is rolling!
Tandem teams are set to go and of course members on single bikes are welcome to join us. 

Tandem Tip: 
The new KHS tandems are now equipped with racks, bells, trunks, tools and lights. Thank you to Mark and Brenda for installing the accessories. 

Our first special event ride on Saturday was a success. We rode the trails to Lakefield and in doing so were able to benefit from periods of shade. It was a hot, but beautiful day. Six tandem teams and a few people on single bikes participated. A big thank you to everyone who participated to make this picnic outing fun ... and yummy! Thanks for the ice cap and cookie treats Donna! 

Tonight's ride is all set to go. The forecast is shifting to include a possibility of rain so please check this site before leaving for the SB. Mark is your leader for tonight. Have a great ride!

It looks like we will have sunshine for our picnic ride tomorrow! Seven tandem teams will participate so we are very happy to have a great turn out for our first special event ride.
Captains, please pick up tandems at 10:15. Members who aren't on tandems, please join us on single bikes. 
We will leave from the Silver Bean at 10:30 and return 2:30 ish. This is a bring your own picnic event so please bring a backpack for your lunch and other supplies.

Tandem Tip: Keep tires inflated to avoid flats. This is especially important on a tandem bike because of the extra weight the tires are supporting.
