TandemEyes Ride Leaders Information
- Ride Leaders have the final decision on any matter pertaining to the TandemEyes Ride which they are leading, including;
- ride route and duration - please be mindful of the daylight hours when selecting a route; also consider the physical conditioning of the riders - shorter and flatter and trail routes to begin
- ride cancelation
- Ride Leaders must appoint a designate should he/she be unable to attend a given ride
- Ride Leaders will designate a sweep rider on a single bike at the back of the ride, and additional mid-rides sweeps when possible
- Ride Leaders must carry a cell phone for emergency use on all rides and should remind captains to carry their own cell phone on each ride.
- Ride Leaders must carry a copy of the 2025 captain/stoker page with them since it contains emergency phone numbers.
- Ride Leaders must fill in the tracking sheets contained in the TandemEyes binder in the storage room after EACH ride
- Ride leaders must fill in a sports injury form should an accident happen on a scheduled ride. These will be reported to our insurance provider.

- Ride Leaders should handle any incidents (e.g. traffic, bike mechanical, health) that occur on a ride and report the nature of the incident and outcome to the managment team for club records
- Ride Leaders must ensure there is no alcohol or anyone under the influence of alcohol on any club rides
- Ride Leaders must be aware, at all times, of what is happening within their ride
